• The are a small bodied species of tortoise that are perfect for indoor enclosures.  The Russian Tortoises are extremely tolerable to heat and cold as their native range experiences scorching summers and freezing winters. These guys are known to hibernate and dig a burrow underground during both the harsh winters and warmest part of summer. 
• Species: Testudo horsfieldii
• Origin: Farm Bred (Captive bred in Uzbekistan) 
• Size: Currently 4-6 inches. With adult males reaching 6" and Females 9" in max size.
• Natural Range: Eastern Europe. Predominately Russia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran Uzbekistan and Ukraine. 
• Food: Fresh vegetables and leafy greens
• Lifespan: Up to 65 years in captivity with proper care and potentially longer.
